Toucheng Leisure Farm Launches Flagship Annual Initiative: New ESG-Themed Sustainable Tour — “Unboxing TLF ESG”
With thanks to the Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration and the Taiwan Ecotourism Association for their strong support and joint promotion, we also welcomed many of Taiwan’s leading media outlets to help spotlight ecotourism.
We were especially honored to host representatives from several foreign missions in Taiwan—including those of the Netherlands, Indonesia, and Malaysia—who not only helped promote sustainable tourism at Toucheng Leisure Farm, but also carried this message to international audiences.
Below is the original post from the Taiwan Ecotourism Association for your reference. We invite everyone to help spread the word about sustainable tourism in Taiwan.

The Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration, the Taiwan Ecotourism Association, and Toucheng Leisure Farm have long prepared the Sustainable Tourism New Product Launch, which was unveiled on April 30–May, 2023 together with our media friends and representatives from foreign missions in Taiwan (Netherlands, Indonesia, Malaysia). A press release for journalists is provided below.
Unboxing Northeast Coast ESG in Sustainable Travel!
Fresh off winning major honors at the inaugural Asian Ecotourism Network (AEN) International Ecotourism Awards, the Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration, the Taiwan Ecotourism Association, and Toucheng Leisure Farm respectively received awards for Destination Governance, Environmental Leadership, and Best Innovation (Itinerary)—making Taiwan a standout at the ceremony in the Philippines. To further promote ecotourism, the three award-winning organizations have joined forces to launch a packaged ecotour experience that leads visitors through Taiwan’s most beautiful mountain-and-sea landscapes.
As ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices gain traction, more companies are seeking projects that enhance their ESG performance, often through curated travel experiences. Building on their AEN accolades, the three partners have created a tour that integrates their respective strengths. Visitors can not only enjoy scenic beauty and ecological richness, but also learn about ESG-aligned initiatives they can apply within their own organizations.
This new package centers on Toucheng Leisure Farm, which operates in alignment with GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) principles. Leveraging natural resources and sustainability know-how, the program designs forestry and stream experiences in natural settings. In collaboration with nearby farmers and fishers, the tour invites guests to participate in ecological reforestation, stream monitoring, and to explore marine issues through community kitchen activities in local fishing villages. The design helps visitors relax while gaining insight into local ecology and cultural heritage, and—through hands-on project participation—deeply understand Toucheng Leisure Farm’s ESG philosophy and practice.
We believe this package will become a valuable tool for companies pursuing ESG: by engaging firsthand, corporate leaders can appreciate ESG’s importance and learn to leverage their strengths for sustainable management. We hope it will serve as a model for Taiwanese enterprises working toward a sustainable future.
“Unboxing Northeast Coast ESG in Sustainable Travel” will not only promote Taiwan’s ecotourism assets, but also stimulate tourism development across the Northeast Coast, generating positive economic and social impact. The three partners hope this package becomes a top choice for international visitors and corporate groups traveling to Taiwan. Looking ahead, we also encourage operators within the jurisdiction of the Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration to adopt similar models that prioritize local sustainability—further advancing ecotourism and sustainable travel, and contributing to the protection of Taiwan’s ecological environment and cultural heritage.
Bookings are now open. Inquiries and reservations are available via Toucheng Leisure Farm, EnvEd Centre for Innovative Learning, Ecotour Taiwan Travel Service Co. Ltd, and Parkbus Taiwan. As the primary implementing partner, Toucheng Leisure Farm will continue listening to visitor feedback to deliver even better services and experiences.
